The key To Inner Peace and Abundance
The shrill of the alarm almost catapults me out of bed, my eyes are not ready to open my mind is in sleep mode. Well, that was until the alarm woke it up!
Before any part of me is ready to step into the day my feet hit the floor and I feel as if I am, rushed into the day, can you relate has this been a thing for you?
The rush to get into the day creates tension throughout the body, and by lunchtime, I have sore shoulders and a stiff neck. This became a real drain on my whole body until I found that making space in my spine through a simple, really simple technique, gave me energy, and cleared the feelings of stiffness and tension. My day was smooth and flowed with ease.
“If you want me to do yoga, forget it, cross me off the list” This is what a friend of mine said one day when she was complaining about all her aches and pains and not feeling like she could get through the day with ease. Yoga is without doubt a deeply transforming practice but many people like my friend won’t have a bar of it. Holding a position for several minutes means having to feel the body and this is where the resistance comes into play, the urge to get out of the imposing asana.
Aside from Yoga, other ancient practices such as Tai Chi Qi Gong take us on an inner journey of having a deeper connection with our physical self which leads to amazing changes in our health and well-being.
Through many years of practising these ancient arts, I have found that flexibility is the key to inner peace, achieving more in my day, abundance, and loving relationships of harmony and joy.
Flexibility brings you greater personal success, satisfaction and achievement in all aspects of your life. Now you might be thinking, something like my friend, ” No way am I going to turn myself into a pretzel to get satisfaction or greater achievement in my life” The good news in that case is that you do not need to make yourself into a pretzel!
To be flexible in your everyday life opens the channels of energy that flow through the physical body which enhances your emotional resilience and mental tenacity.
How often do you drive the same way to work or catch the same bus and travel the same route?
Most of the time we do the same things over and over. Would it surprise you to know that living that way takes away the connection to your creative, expansive and powerful spirit?
Here is a simple exercise to try, take a moment to turn your head from left to right to left, how easy and smooth was it for you, how far can you turn your head? The less flexibility in your neck the more tension is held in your mind and body.
Can you stand on one leg for 3 minutes or touch your toes from a standing position? These exercises show you how well-balanced you are in all aspects of your life.
Flexibility is the secret key to inner peace, achieving goals, achieving more, abundance, well-being, loving relationships, personal satisfaction and less stress. Here are some ways that you can use every day that will enhance your flexibility;
*Take a different way to work every day for 5 days, and notice the difference in yourself.
*Go to different grocery stores for a week or two and notice the change in your energy
*Sit in a different seat at the dining table and couch every night for a week. Make note of the things you feel.

We are such creatures of habit aren’t we? Who would have thought that getting uncomfortable and being more flexible would lead to comfort and inner peace.
